The Joy of Molded Plastic

I love this terrific, Sesame Street-esque movie celebrating Eames chairs — it’s always great to see that other people are obsessive about chairs as I am!

And if the film makes you yearn for your own version of this classic design icon, these brightly colored chairs by Virco have some of the same appeal:

Pin Cushion

What is it about cactuses that immediately makes some people think — “hey, that would make a great chair!” Now, to be fair… I think the spines on this one are soft, at least.

It’s not the most intuitive design, but I have to admit, it is pretty striking. And I love the pink and green coloring together.

Back Care Products

We all know that ergonomic posture is important for a healthy back and a productive mind. In these tough economic times, however, not everyone can afford a fancy ergonomic chair with the extra padding in all the right places. What’s a frugally minded office worker to do?

Well, here’s a secret: you can get a lot of the same benefits at a fraction of the price of a full ergonomic chair! Sitcorrect carries a full line of back cushions, seat pads, and other ergonomic accessories to transform your lame, old, worn-out office chair into the comfy, fully supportive seat your spine dreams of.

Check out more back care products.

Reason #456 to replace your office chair

Boy Killed Anally When Office Chair Explodes.

Okay… this story comes out of China, along with those tales of the cat who gave birth to a dog and the real live unicorn, so I don’t know that I’d give it too much credence. Still, who wants to take the risk, you know? Just get yourself a new chair, already.

The Secret Life of Office Chairs

Well, it was bound to happen someday. In the Terminator movies, it was suggested that eventually our computers would develop intelligence and strike back against us. Who could have guessed the same thing would happen with an office chair? And who would imagine it would use twitter to accomplish its goals?

According to Intructables:

The Twittering office chair “tweets” (posts a Twitter update) upon the detection of natural gas such as that produced by human flatulence. This is part of my commitment to accurately document and share my life as it happens.

Um, yeah. You really have to see for yourself: https://twitter.com/officechair

Celebrate Earth Day Sitting Down!

In honor of Earth Day, why not check out a chair that values the health of the environment as much as the health of your spine? Eurotech’s Ergohuman series are best-selling, high-style, ergonomically designed and Earth-friendly, too! The chart below shows which parts of the ME7 and ME8 are built from recycled or recyclable materials.

Blue Jean Girl

Still in a spring mood, I thought I’d share this “Casual Friday” version of one of our most popular chairs. The MDZ-1025 sells best in sleek black leatherette, but it’s also available a host of other kicky options. This one is blue denim, and I think it gives this chair an altogether different feel — much more fun and whimsical. Also check out versions in fire engine red and spring green, as welll as black, white, and brick.

Spring Fling

Hey there! Still recovering from my Easter break, but I thought I’d jump back in with these easter-egg-bright colors from the Milan Furniture Fair:

Of course, these aren’t on the market yet, but if you like the distinctive shape and colors, you might check out our Verner Panton-inspired Molded ABS Side Chairs in orange, green, black, white, and red.

The folks at health mark sent over this bouncy bunny pic featuring their Swiss Ball Chair and I thought I’d share it with you. Here’s hoping the easter bunny leaves chocolate office chairs for all of you.
