Supportive Stool

Keeping with our theme, here’s another cool and unusual stool design! This heavy-duty stool from Seating Inc. is a little weird looking, but it’s a really fantastic design for anyone who sits on a stool for long periods of time. It features a cushioned, rotating bar that can be manipulated to serve any number of comfortable and supportive positions — use it as an armrest, back rest, or “belly bar”!

This innovative stool is also a great choice for people with back or shoulder problems, or anyone who’d like a bit more support than your average medical stool.

More perks: rated up to 275lbs, with a lifetime warranty, and an extensive list of colors and fabrics! It can also be purchased as a low, medium, or full-height stool.

Great Deal on Lider

Check it out! One of our very best selling conference chairs, the Modz Lider is on sale! Usually $399 each, it’s been knocked down to 228.99… so you can save $170 on these hyper-stylish chairs. You see chairs of this type all over the place — in corporate headquarters, on television shows.

The Lider features a chrome-plated steel frame, pneumatic seat height adjustment, adjustable tilt tension, and washable leatherette seats in a wide array of colors… They’re such a good deal that it’s almost impossible to keep them in stock — so if you’re interested, order now!

Fast Chair

Here’s a new twist on the old office chair: Race Chairs promises to give you the experience of racing around a track in a Ferrari or Porsche, even as you’re actually busy entering data into a spread sheet.

Yup, they’ve created office chairs out of the bucket seats of real race cars! It’s definitely a cool concept, and I have to admit that their chairs do look very comfortable — you can tell they were designed with the user’s body in mind. I’m not sure the experience had quite the same adrenaline rush as competitive racing, but at least it’s a lot safer!

Is it just me, or does the Corvette C5 look a lot like our Azeo High Back Leather by Global?

Chair Punch!

Having a rough day? With this boxing glove chair, you can let the world know that you’ll be taking anything and everything as “fighting words”.

It actually looks oddly comfortable… all those bubbly padded gloves could really do wonders for your pressure points. And for the bosses and CEOs out there, it could be a useful way to send a message without saying a word.

Flower Chair

I love these fluffy, colorful chairs by Tokujin Yoshioka… It must be like curling up in a bouquet of carnations! I wonder if they smell as nice.

For a similarly cozy experience (minus the gorgeous petals, unfortunately), try the comfy cup chair by Modz:

Chain Link Chair

Ow. Just looking at this chair makes me wince, thinking about the criss-cross pattern of deep red welts it would leave on your thighs if you sat in it for longer than a few minutes.

Now there’s an interesting concept! It might be a great idea for book shops or coffee houses that want to offer seating but discourage people from hanging around too long.

Whatever you think of the chair, though, it is a great photo — I love the tomato red background.

Spring Fling

Hey there! Still recovering from my Easter break, but I thought I’d jump back in with these easter-egg-bright colors from the Milan Furniture Fair:

Of course, these aren’t on the market yet, but if you like the distinctive shape and colors, you might check out our Verner Panton-inspired Molded ABS Side Chairs in orange, green, black, white, and red.

More pictures from the Milan Furniture Fair, see the Furniture Fashion blog.

Flat Chair

Love this concept by Sara Paculdo — it’s a chair that folds down into one completely flat, lightweight sheet for ease of shipping and storage. Just imagine how many of these you could stock in a warehouse, and how quick and cheap the shipping would be! Plus it does produce one snazzy, if somewhat strange looking chair.

My only concern is that it looks a little complicated to put together. Could your average chair buyer really manage all those steps? I guess time will tell.

Cheap Office Chairs, Part 2

Need some eye-catching conference chairs, but don’t have a lot of green to throw around? The stylish design of the Lider (MDZ-1025) will bring an element of sophistication to any office or conference room, but without the hefty designer price tag.

The Lider features a chrome-plated steel frame, pneumatic seat height adjustment, adjustable tilt tension, and washable leatherette seats in a wide array of colors…  all for a very reasonable $228.99 ($170 off the list price).

The Lider is one of our all-time best selling chairs — and such a good deal that it’s almost impossible to keep them in stock — so if you’re interested, order now!
